3M tm 3M Frangible Post System- Series 140
The 3M Frangible Post System is a novel glass and carbon fibre reinforced, composite cylindrical post designed to collapse on impact from vehicles that leave the road. It is 'Passively Safe' (as per EN12767) and the only product in the world with an accredited rating of NE2. 'No Energy' passively safe posts are recommended for use on higher speed roads. Installation is quick and easy, due to use of standard equipment and techniques. One installer commented "A very straightforward installation. It`s even easier than steel posts where we would normally use lifting equipment". Significantly the post is very light, at 4.2kg per linear metre, approx. a third the weight of an equivalent steel post and lighter than passively safe alternates.

Rocon ll, a true fully flush bidirectional in pavement light (stud) using high intensity LED's. The unique patented construction enables the use of snow plough equipment without destroying the fixture. Even with the full flush construction, the fixture emits substantial light in zero degrees. Rocon ll completes the program with Rocon l the possibility of showing a two way light signal from the ground, and is intended for use when reversible lanes are installed. A completely new driver system has been developed with built in protections against heat, voltage and current. ALISA Aluminium borden met geïntegreerde mogelijkheden
Agmi BV has designed and introduced three different new systems, which can be integrated in the new aluminum ‘blue’ traffic signs, ALISA. This are rotation-panels, full colour DRIPS (Dynamic Route Information Panels) and GRIPS (Graphic Route Information Panels) with LED-light source. ALISA signs with rotation-panels are already placed in Almelo, signs with DRIPS are placed in The Hague and GRIPS are placed in the province North-Brabant. By the use of these new possibilities, drivers will be better informed about the current situation on the road.
Agmi BV heeft eind 2007 drie verschillende nieuwe systemen, welke in het aluminium ‘blauwe’ borden ALISA-systeem geïntegreerd kunnen worden, ontwikkeld én toegepast. Het gaat hierbij om rotatiepanelen, full colour DRIPS (Dynamische Route Informatie Panelen) en GRIPS (Grafische Route Informatie Panelen) met LED-lichtbron. ALISA borden met rotatiepanelen zijn geplaatst in de gemeente Almelo, borden met DRIPS in de gemeente Den Haag en GRIPS in de provincie Noord-Brabant. Door de toepassing van deze nieuwe mogelijkheden kunnen weggebruikers beter geïnformeerd worden over de actuele situatie op de weg. Hiermee wordt meegewerkt aan het plan van het Ministerie van Verkeer en Waterstaat om files te verminderen en bereikbaarheid te verbeteren.

Emergency services lock/ Nood- en hulpdienstenslot
Nowadays ordinary passants of the sinkable pole will use the same key as the emergency services. Their key will be locked in the pole in submerged position. It can only be removed from the pole when it is put back into upright position. Erdi has developed a submerged lock that a separate key entrance for the emergency services. The key of the emergency services can both in upright - as well as in submerged position be removed from the pole. In this way the emergency services will not lose precious time.

Tegenwoordig hebben de 'gewone' passanten dezelfde sleutel van een afsluitpaal als de nood- en hulpdiensten. De sleutel zinkt mee met de paal in neerstand. Om de sleutel terug te krijgen dient de paal in opstand te worden teruggezet. Erdi heeft een verzonken slot ontwikkeld met daarin een aparte sleutelingang voor de nood- en hulpdiensten. Deze sleutel kan zowel bij opstaande als verzonken stand uit de paal worden weggenomen. Op deze manier verliezen de nood- en hulpdiensten geen kostbare tijd.

Sinkable or fixed stainless steel pole provide with a light circle in the pole, which burns automatically when it becomes dark. This will form a magical line in the urban space. Moreover they promote the conductance of the traffic and therefore the security. The light circle has been manufactured of durable and vandalism stable plastic, has a neutral colour and is transparent. In the top of the pole there is a LED lamp with solar technology , which is protected against vandalism by impact-proof plastic. By day the light cell loads a battery. As soon as the evening enters, the lamp will automatically burn.

    When the rider is thrown from the bike/horse, the airbag is automatically activated by a coiled wire lanyard attached to the bike/saddle. Using a CO2 cartridge, HIT AIR airbag system operates within 1/2 a second. The airbag remains inflated for 3-5 minutes as a slow air release valve allows progressive deflation. When inflated in an accident, the airbag absorbs any life threatening and injury causing collision forces on the riders' body by compressing at the point of impact and redistributing the load throughout the entire bag. There is very effective protection for the rider at the chest, neck, shoulders, back, hips and bottom.

    JD Nederland Traffic Safety Systems demonstrates a compact fuel cell energy system which uses a small-scale reformer that produces hydrogen from LPG on the spot. Prototype for Ministry On 1 November 2007, Camiel Eurlings, the Minister of Transport, Public Works and Water Management awarded the Small Business Innovation Research-award to this compact energy system, in recognition of its innovative character. JD Nederland and its partners will develop a prototype of the system and install it on a trailer mounted full colour variable message sign with CE certificate of confirmity NEN-EN 12966. We will demonstrate this trailer at Intertraffic 2008 from 1 to 4 april next year.

    The innovation brings the large-scale use of fuel cells for clean, quiet electricity generation and transport an important step closer. Wider use of fuel cell technology “Reformer-based fuel cell systems are much more compact than current hydrogen systems, while operating on widely available fuels. A reformer-based system avoids the difficulties of a separate infrastructure for transport and storage of hydrogen. What’s more, the limited size of this compact energy system and the usage of LPG open up the possibility of many new applications. In addition to traditional fuels like LPG, the system will also run on liquid biofuels in the near future. JD Nederland aims to demonstrate a small-scale reformer using biomethanol.
