IPTS Conference 2008 - 2 and 3 April 2008

Intertraffic Amsterdam 2008 hosted the first edition of the IPTS Conference. This two day program focussed on how to connect various travel modalities to make public transport more enjoyable and a genuine alternative to cars.

Wednesday 2 April 2008 - Plenary Session

The challenge of sustainable mobility
Keynote speakers Helle Søholt (GEHL Architects ApS), Paul Steely White (Transportation Alternatives New York ), Peter Staelens (EPF), Peter Kortenhorst (Connexxion) and Nicola Villa (Cisco) shared the latest developments, knowledge and expertise on topics such as:
  • How do we embrace the challenge of sustainable mobility with examples from New York and Copenhagen?
  • The Clinton Global Initiative: Connected Urban Development
  • The latest innovations that improve the passenger’s experience
  • Urban development, Mobility and Environmental Issues in Amsterdam
