Data exchange between road operators and map suppliers
Session for representatives of national and regional and urban road authorities, map and navigation providers, road users and transport and shipping companies in order to discuss a joint approach for data exchange and disseminating travel information. Goal of the GROUN-project is to avoid unnecessary inconvenience caused by recommended routing provided by navigation systems and route planners. The project already started the exchange of data between road authorities and map providers in some Dutch regions, using a protoypte of a digital exchange tool.Goal is to extend this exchange over all other Dutch regions.
