| Andes developed for a pilot in Drenthe a connected freight transport navigation system. Via a GPRS receiver we managed to transfer the correct freight route calculation directly from the central ANDES server to the navigation device. For each trip, the driver enters data of the vehicle through an interface of the system. Apart from avoiding inaccessible roads, length, height, width, axle weight, roadwork/events, environment zones, truck accessibility, the system also takes into account a general preference of truck drivers for larger roads. To investigate the response of truck drivers 100 trucks that carry out freight transport within the region were equipped with the new navigation system for a period of two and a half months. |

The NDW monitoring network in The Netherlands implemented by ARS T&TT provides real time traffic data on the local, regional and national road networks, covering more than 5,500 kilometers. All service providers and road operators will have direct access to traffic intensities and velocities per vehicle category as well as travel times within 1 minute after registration of these data. With the introduction of NDW, automobilists can better plan smart swift journeys and can consider multimodal offerings with the actual and accurate information from the service providers.

A virtual and online permit account solution for handling of residents’ parking permits.
Parking operators assign an online account to entitled residents, who use an RFID card and an individual PIN-code at the Cale parking terminal to be able to park at a reduced tariff. They enter their registration number and do not need to go back to the car with a ticket. The system can be integrated with a registration plate recognition system, providing convenient enforcement.

Accurate Green Termination (AGT) is a combination of a detector configuration and a software application designed for vehicle actuated traffic lights to determine the best moment to end the green phase. When applied, it ensures that the last vehicle of a queue uses an amount of the amber time and that the green phase is utilized up to 90%. Therefore the capacity of a traffic light controlled junction increases (possible up to 30%) and becomes more credible. AGT also minimizes the amount of vehicles in the dilemma zone by extending the green phase if the clearance zone isn’t empty.

The iStud Wireless Rail Level Crossing System is a low cost, low power, fail safe, remotely monitored, wireless solution that includes, an intelligent track side rail stud, wireless warning system (solar powered), vehicle detector and In Road Warning Lights.
The detector uses trackside mounted sensors to detect the presence of trains and has a minimum operational life of 10 years.
The iStud Wireless Train detector simplifies installation of trackside train detectors by eliminating cabling and trenching, significantly reducing installation and maintenance costs.
Unique to the iStud warning system is an advanced warning to the train driver that the level crossing has been activated or a vehicle has not cleared the level crossing. |

| Wired Sensors and Warning Systems |
At the core of the iStud Wired product range are sensors and in road warning lights that can be connected to a 2 wire common cable for receiving power and data.
The iStud Vehicle Detector uses Innovative Technology to replace the traditional inductive loop. A magnetic sensor is used to detect vehicle presence, speed and classification. This data is transmitted back in real time to a Line Interface Card (LIC) that can be used to activate a traffic light controller or forwarded on to a monitoring centre for traffic analysis.
The advantage of an iStud Vehicle detector system over any other detector or loop system is the additional data that is collected, reduced installation costs and significantly reduced damage to the pavement.
